Battle Selection Evening

Have you ever wondered how the images are chosen for inter club battles and the Western Counties Photographic Federation competitions. Or what images do (or don’t do!) well at salons such as the Cheltenham International Salon of Photography.

This evening our Battle Secretary Paul Norris and his selection committee will explain the process, and there will be an opportunity for members to help select a short list of images for a future battle.

Topics will include what makes an ideal club battle or salon image, how the club selection process and judge marking review works, feedback and thoughts from club members on previous experience or ideas for future selections, reviewing and providing input into a some provisional images for 2024/25.
