Cheltenham Salon AVI

This evening, Martin Fry from Cheltenham Camera Club will present the accepted images along with the winning images from the 2021 CISP – always an inspirational event with some truly world class images.

CISP – Cheltenham International Salon of Photography. This is an annual event for individual projected images run by our neighbouring Cheltenham Club. It’s a good way to see, at modest cost, how your best pictures compare with others in an International arena.  The 2021 Salon attracted 9,006 images from 738 entrants in 55 countries.  77% of entrants gained at least one acceptance and 2028, or 22.5% of the entries were accepted into the Salon.

 

NB. Photographic “Salons” are events run by many clubs around the globe and anyone can enter for a fee. They can generate good income for a club but, equally, require a lot of organising. An acceptance in a Salon is a worthy result and can count towards accreditation for some organisations. Salons can be held under the auspices of one or all organisations like RPS, PSA, FIAP, and BPE, all of which have slightly different judging rules (particularly Travel and Wildlife/Nature). All Salon competitions are independently judged.
