Photography Talk – Paul Sanders
My sincere apologies for the inaccurate representation of tonight’s speaker with the previous image – THIS is Paul Sanders !! ( The sharp eyed amongst you may have realised that it was a previous speaker, Phil Savoie ) JB
I’ve been a professional photographer since I was 18. My experience stretches across most areas of photography. I started out shooting glamour calendars and hair fashion before embarking on a career in news photography that saw me move from The Daventry Express to regional agency News Team, The Manchester Evening News where I became deputy Picture Editor. I joined international wire service in 1998 before being asked to take up a position on The Times in 2002. In 2004 I became Picture Editor of The Times, with responsibility for the entire visual content plus a staff of photographers and picture researchers. I left The Times in 2012 to explore a career in landscape photography. This move was a huge life style change and was bought about by ill health, it has been the best decision I’ve ever made and one of the most exciting.
I now take pictures of things that make me smile. I am a Fujifilm X Series Ambassador, Light and Land tour leader, Fujiholics workshop leader and a user of Lee Filters and Mindshift Gear bags.
